How to Apply
Each year, UMHEF invites students to apply scholarships to help pay for college or seminary. A nonprofit foundation, we award $2+ million annually to students attending United Methodist-related schools.

What You Need to Know
Full instructions will be posted when applications open. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Review UMEHF’s eligibility requirements and FAQs.
- Please use an email address you check often on your application; this is the primary method we will use to contact you with questions and notification of your award status.
- Award notifications will be sent via email or USPS using information you provide on your application in the summer.
- Awarded students will be asked to provide a Verification of Enrollment Form, which will be sent with your award notification. It must be returned by October 1, 2025.
- Once enrollment is verified, awarded funds will be sent directly to your school by mid-November; exceptions may apply.
- Parents, if you are helping your child apply, please be sure to provide their information – not your own – where requested on the application(s).
